At Mad Pizza, we are fascinated with innovation in both tastes and how to evolve the atmosphere within our shops. We love making new things and doing things a different way from the norm. If it looks cool and tastes good, then bring it on! Nothing (within the law of course) is out of the question at Mad Pizza, and we hope you have as much fun eating here, as we do working here.
Beginning as a single Victoria Street shop front, the Mad Pizza craze is spreading. In the last 8 years, 3 locations have opened in an effort to keep up with the demand, and after you’ve tried the pizza, you’ll begin to understand the madness.
The thin crust pizzas are all about the toppings and a look at the menu shows creative combinations as well as a few of the classics. The mouth-watering Amalfi has tiger prawns, ricotta, garlic, chili flakes, roma tomato and fresh mint, and the Tuscano tops the list with shredded lamb shanks, spinach, red onion, garden peas, feta, garlic oil and lemon. Vegetarians rejoice with 5 veggie options on offer including their signature Funghi pizza with fat field mushrooms, rosemary, feta, rocket and shaved parmesan. Although pizza is the hero, the menu also offers a wide range of starters, salads, pastas and desserts to please everyone in your party and groups won’t leave hungry – the set menu for 10+ is all you can eat pizza and salad for just $25pp.
Small groups can book a table inside or out on the main level, or take a seat at the bar to drink or dine. Hidden away upstairs, you’ll discover two private dining rooms for up to 22 people each. The hand painted walls, kitschy framed pictures and red and white-checkered tablecloths give the space an undeniably Italian home feel, and you can add a personal touch with iPod docks available to play your own music. For larger groups, the main restaurant downstairs can be booked for exclusive use for up to 40 after 8:30pm.
You won’t go thirsty with an international beer list, signature cocktails and a variety of wines served by the glass, carafe or bottle. Mad Pizza is the ideal spot for birthdays and celebrations with a DJ pumping out the tracks Thursday-Saturday nights. Open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week, Mad Pizza is on a mission to spread the madness to everyone who visits, and with pizza this good, it’s bound to be an epidemic.
